Dear Skaters,

Have you ever dreamed to visit Italy on skates?
Angelique Wouters and I took part to a test trip last October (you can see
pictures on:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/struwwelpiera/sets/ ) and next March there is this
wonderful opportunity to take part to a private pilot/pirate trip from Mantova
to Venezia sleeping on the Dutch boat „Vita Pugna“.

will skate through.

Detailed description of the tour (fllat, without hills) on skates is as follow:

1° day (Tuesday 9 march 2010):
Get toghether on the boat in Mantova

2° day (Wednesday 11 march 2010):
From Mantova to Zelo (about 60 km).
The Boat will take us to Governolo and from there we will skate to Zelo (due to
the PO water level in march we will stop in Zelo, about 10 km from Governolo)
Nearby Zelo a wine degustation will take place.

3° day (Thursday 11 march 2010):
From Zelo-Castelguglielmo-Ferrara to Adria (about 55 km)
From Zelo we will reach by skate the marvellous city of Ferrara (also known as
the italian „city of bicycles”. ) where we will take lunch and spend the
afternoon. From there we will reach the boat in Adria by bus. In Adria we will
taste the famous local speciality „Porchetta“.

4° day (Friday 12 march 2010):
From Adria to Chioggia called „little Venice“ (about 75 km)
Longest day on skates through wonderful landskapes in the maze of Delta and the
mouth of the River Adige!

5° day (sabato 13 marzo 2010):
From Chioggia to Venezia (about 30 km).
Vita Pugna will take us to an island from which we will start to skate to reach
Pellestrina, we will experience the first feeling of being in venetian land. We
will take an Aperitiv break to continue to Lido di Venezia, famous for his film
festival.
Back to Vita Pugna we will reach Giudecca island in Venice, in front of San
Marco place. Free afternoon and night to spend in Venice!!

6° day (Sunday 14 march 2010):
Treviso Marathon on skates (42 km) or one more day in Venice
If you want you have the opportunity to take part to the 2nd inline Marathon.

Otherwise if you prefer you can end your holiday spending one more day in
Venice.

Price:
depending on amount of participants: from 585 EUR (pricing for 15 participants)
to 440 EUR (pricing for 20 participants)

Price per person included:
5 overnight on the boat (double cabin – each cabin has a private toilette and
shower) with 5 breakfast and 4 dinner (not in Venice) on the boat, sheets and
towel. baggage transport, wine degustation, porchetta degustation, some snacks
during the tours

The price does not include:
Lunch
Marathon fee: between 20,00 EUR and 35,00 EUR depending on the period of
inscription

Transport from Venice to Marathon: about 4 EUR
Tickets for public transport, museums and extra in general. Plus everything that
is not included in the section „the price includes“.

There will be about 3 bicycles available on the boat in case for any reason you
can’t skate anymore.

As this is a private/self organised trip you will need to have your own mediacal
and liability insurances and sign a discarge attestation (will follow).
